Vijay's heroine for the Murugadoss directed Maalai Nerathu Mazhaithuli seems to be over. Kajal Agarwal, is cast opposite Vijay for Maalai Nerathu Mazhaithuli. There were speculations about Sonam Kapoor playing the lead but Murugadoss seemed to have settled for Kajal in the end.
